Christopher Boyd brings extensive product development and off-grid communications technology experience to goTenna.

JERSEY CITY, NJ (November 16, 2023) — goTenna, the world’s leading mobile mesh networking company, today announced the appointment of Christopher Boyd as VP of Product. Boyd brings over twenty years of experience in hardware and software product-oriented roles such as Product Manager, Solutions Architect, and Technical Marketer. 

He specializes in driving the development and integration of mission-critical communications systems for defense, space, and telco/service-provider applications. His most recent expertise lies in satellite-based communications, where he spent the past 15 years focused on serving the Enterprise, Maritime, Defense, and Public Sector vertical market segments. During his time in the satellite communications field, he worked to create mobile and fixed communication solutions using a combination of satellite, terrestrial, and tactical communications and mixed-mode capabilities.

Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in IP-centric advanced technologies, Boyd has successfully implemented cutting-edge satellite-based communication solutions encompassing Voice over IP, Video, Data, and LMR/PTT connectivity and interoperability. He brings extensive experience with Tactical/Mobile SATCOM terminals, satellite teleport ground-systems technologies, 3GPP and LMR-based radio systems, and operational services crucial for mission-critical communications delivery.
